M´Vila targeting Euro 2012 glory

France midfielder Yann M Vila believes that his side have a genuine chance of winning the 2012 Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine.

Les Bleus qualified for Europe’s most prestigious international competition directly after winning Group D in their qualifying campaign.

But Laurent Blanc’s side was far from convincing during the qualification process, finishing just one point ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina with 21 points from 10 matches and scoring just 15 goals in the process.

M Vila, however, is confident of a successful European Championship campaign and is determined to win the competition France last claimed in 2000.

I m proud, happy and above all relieved that we ve reached the finals, the 21-year-old told FIFA.com ahead of France s friendly with the USA on Friday.

Bosnia gave us a real fright in our last qualifier (1-1 home draw), but I think we ve got a genuine chance at the Euros.

We re not going to Ukraine and Poland for the sightseeing, but to come back with the title.

Turning to club football, M Vila rated as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 disclosed that he will may soon leave Rennes.

I feel ready to leave now, he said. I just don’t think it’s a good idea with Euro 2012 coming up.

His revelation of his intention to leave the French club comes just a day after Rennes team-mate Kader Mangane revealed M Vila will join Real Madrid or Arsenal next summer .
